Our Story
Our Story
Lisa Liou founded All Gen Movement in 2024 after serving for over two decades with a campus ministry organization. The vision began in her own family. Her children were entering their teen years during the global pandemic, when churches were closed and culture was shifting rapidly. She and her husband felt the weight of wondering if their family might fall through the cracks.
At the same time, Lisa’s involvement in her local church stirred a vision for healing and restoration. She saw the ways we needed repair and realignment to reach all generations more effectively. With an emerging sense of call she helped her church care for middle and high school students during a major church transition. This is when she also witnessed the silent crisis among parents, most of whom were left to navigate the greater season of disorientation without sufficient support.
One thing became clear: reaching the next generation would require tending to the health of parents and churches so that generations could be restored to one another and flourish in faith. Lisa continued engaging the need, offering prayer and healing spaces for parents in the community. By the end of 2023, with the encouragement of a discernment team of colleagues, All Gen Movement was about to be formed. That team—Alice Atkins, Geoffrey Gentry, and Donan Nealon—became the organization’s first board of directors in spring 2024.
Our first fundraising campaign launched in July 2024 with the goal of inviting 100 moms to give and become co-founders of the movement. By year’s end, the goal was met, enabling us to serve 55 families and share our vision with local churches. With humble beginnings, our ministry has begun to grow most quickly in the same place the vision was born: among aching parents eager to gather for prayer and healing.
In the spirit of movement, our ministry is unfolding where the Spirit is already at work. We are eager to come alongside ministry leaders and churches who know this need and share our vision.
Our Training
Lisa Liou brings more than 20 years of ministry experience, from campus minister to senior leadership in a large missions organization, along with a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Her theological grounding shapes All Gen’s mission with this picture in mind: God’s multigenerational family at the shared communion table, where all generations are invited to healing and restoration in the family of God. Our board of directors add to this foundation with a shared spiritual vision as well as decades of relevant ministry and marketplace experience.
